Transcend Pure Essential Oils
Pure essential oils have a wide range of therapeutic benefits including physical healing, relaxation, and emotional restoration. Essential oils exert their most powerful and direct pharmacological effects systemically via the blood supply to the brain. They also have an indirect effect via the olfactory nerve pathways into the brain.
When used in aromatherapy, essential oils are absorbed through blood circulation and nerve pathways from the sinuses into the central glands of the brain, which control emotional, neurological, and immunological functions. This leads to feelings of relaxation, relief from conditions like depression and emotional despondency, or alternatively, mental and physical rejuvenation.
Essential oils are absorbed in minute quantities through the skin when applied topically, depending on the oil, dilution, and application, i.e. carrier oil, compress. When certain essential oils are inhaled, they have a direct effect on the sinuses, throat, and lungs. Therefore, many essential oils are specific medicines for respiratory conditions. Essential oils also have beneficial effects on circulatory problems, both through dermal and respiratory absorption. These oils enhance the circulation stimulating effects of massage. Essential oils can be used to transcend limitations in every area of your life.
How to Use Essential Oils
- As part of your skincare routine: put 5-6 drops in a pint of warm water or in a facial steamer; add 3-5 drops to moistened clay, honey, mashed avocado, or egg whites as a facial masque; or use up to 15 drops to a carrier oil or unscented cream or lotion
- To stimulate the skin and lymphatic system, use a natural bristle bath brush with 2-3 drops of oil and dry brush your skin
- Add 5-7 drops in a bowl of steaming water and put a towel tent over the head to capture the steam
- Use with a nebulizing diffuser or add 3-9 drops to the water of a humidifier in a cool mist
- For topical application to ease pain from strained muscles or cramps, add 4-7 drops of the oil to a bowl of warm water. Place a cloth in the water, wring out the excess water and use it as a compress over the affected area
- Apply 1-2 drops of Lavender or Tea Tree oil to cuts, scrapes, or scratches to promote healing
- To use as a spritzer, put 8-10 drops of oil for a facial spritzer, 30-50 drops for an all body spritzer, or 80-100 drops for a room spray/air freshener to 4 oz. of distilled water. Shake well to dissolve oil
- Add 2-3 drops to a Jacuzzi and repeat every 30 minutes
- After shower, apply 5-7 drops to a damp wash cloth and rub over body. Allow it to air dry on the body
- Add 5-10 drops in a bath of warm water. Oils can be mixed in with a spoonful of honey, a small cup of milk or cream, or to a carrier of oil before adding it to the bath water
- Blend 6-10 drops with Epsom Salts, Sea Salts, or Baking Soda in a warm bath or use as a salt glow rub before the bath. Add a spoonful of carrier oil to the salt glow for silky and soft skin
- Add a few drops of oil to your washing machine or to a cloth that you put into your dryer with your other clothes
- To revive your potpourri, add a few drops of the essential oil to it

Caution
- For external use only. Not for medicinal use. Store away from direct sunlight & heat. Keep out of reach of children. Please consult a physician before using essential oils if you are pregnant or feeding.
- Most essential oils should be blended with a carrier oil before being applied topically. Lavender, Chamomile, and Ylang Ylang are generally safe to use without dilution. The concentration of the essential oil in a carrier oil is recommended to be between 2%-10%.
- Unprocessed carrier oils marked organic or cold-pressed are the ideal choice to blend with your essential oil. Carrier oils made from vegetables, nuts or seeds such as sweet almond oil, olive oil, and sunflower oil are the most commonly used. Vitamin E oil has additional benefits when used as a carrier oil.
- Test how your skin reacts to any oil by dapping a drop of it on your wrist or the inside of your elbow.
- If you have a mild headache or the scent begins to bother you, the oil needs to be diluted further before any additional use.
